President Mohammad Khatami is expected to
visit Switzerland to take part in the World Economic Forum of business
and political leaders in Davos, Switzerland on January 20, IRNA
reported from Tehran.
According to the media affairs of Presidential Office, the
president is to perform the two-day visit on an invitation extended to
him by Swedish president.
During his two-day stay in Switzerland, President Khatami would
discuss the major international topics, bilateral ties and issues of
cultural interests with his Swiss counterpart and head of the Senate,
the same source added.
The president is also to meet and confer with the leaders of he
religious communities in Switzerland and to talk to the Iranians
living in the country.
He is also to deliver a speech in the inauguration ceremony of
the Davos summit.
The World Economic Forum of business and political leaders opens
Wednesday in Davos, Switzerland.
