Iran's disciplinary forces have announced
the launching of a project in Tehran and 10 out of 28 Iranian
rovinces, aimed at boosting social and public security, IRNA reported from
Tehran.
The Information Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Police
force (IRIP) announced on Friday, "The IRIP will start offering
innovative, expert level disciplinary and police services, based on
Information Technology (IT), as of the ten day celebrations marking
the victory of the Islamic Revolution."
The IRIP's message in that respect to IRNA reads, "The newly
launched Police 10+ project is aimed at offering faster, more careful
services to the Iranian citizens, respecting their personality more
than ever before, and assuring their security by the police force."
In order to materialize the project, the IRIP started improving
the infrastructure of its communications network, as well as its
access to most up-to-date IT resources as of two years ago, one of
the fruits of which has become tangible in the framework of the
Police 10+ Project, focussed at decentralizing the disciplinary and
police services to the people.
Decreasing the government's control over the public affairs,
decreasing the number of necessary trips between cities by the IRIP
officers, making easier the access of the Iranian citizens to various
types of disciplinary and police services, and ending the people's
dizziness in dealing with different types of offices affiliated to
the IRIP, are listed as "some of the positive points of the Police
10+ Project."
Some of he services offered to the public in Phase One of the
Police 10+ include the non-centralized issuance of booklets required
by the newly recruited soldiers, issuance of slips clarifying being
cleared of criminal crimes for those seeking to change jobs, changing
license plates of the vehicles, the issuance of the latest status of
drivers regarding their traffic violation tickets, the issuance of job
permits, renewal of drivers licenses, and renewal of passports,
all through the IT.
