Tehran, July 20, IRNA -- An earthquake measuring 3.8 degrees on
open-ended Richter scale rattled the southern city of Sardasht, in
southern Khuzestan province, early Tuesday.
The seismological base of Tehran University's Geophysics
Institute recorded the tremor at 7:51 a.m. (local time).
There were no immediate reports of any casualty or damage to
property caused by the quake.
Iran is situated on some of the world's most active seismic
faultlines and quakes of varying magnitudes are usual occurrences.
