Carrying placards and pictures of the Founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and President Mohammad Khatami, the protesters condemned the double standard policies of the US and the European states on the nuclear activities of the Islamic Republic and other countries.
"We, the Iranian students, consider access to the nuclear energy as the legitimate right of the Iranian nation," a placard carried by students said. "We never bow to the oppression and hegmonistic policies" another placard said.
"The file on Iran's nuclear energy should be closed as soon as possible" another placard also wrote.
The protesters also chanted slogans such as 'Death to the US', 'Death to Israel', and 'Nuclear energy, legitimate right of the Iranians'.
Meanwhile, a statement was issued by the ralliers at the end of the gathering said that the double standard policy of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) towards the Islamic Republic of Iran which is a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), is a political conspiracy.
The US and other western countries should respect Iran's legitimate and legal right to peaceful use of nuclear energy, the statement added.
