Some 57,916,000 shares, worth Rls 540.110 billion (US$ 62.80 million), were traded at the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) on Sunday June 27, 2004, Pars Investment reported.

Share prices of 69 out of 149 listed companies made gains, while those of 73 declined and seven remained unchanged. The TEPIX in Sunday’s close rose by 2.397 points reaching 10,640.55 points compared to Saturday’s close.

Tehran Metals Exchange (TME) closed on Sunday after trading 25,680 tons of metals for Rls 119.751 billion (US$ 13.93 million). The TME close featured sales of 24.360 tons of steel for Rls 88.880 billion (US$ 10.34 million), 1,300 tons of copper for Rls 31.205 billion (US$ 3.63 million) and 20 tons of aluminum for Rls 0.31 million (US$ 0.04 million). The market closed without any trade in zinc.
