Iran: Nasim-e Saba managing editor summoned by court

Editor-in-chief of the Persian-language daily Nasim-e Saba, Hojjatoleslam Hamid Qasemi Feizabad has once again been summoned by the third department of the government employees special Prosecutor's Office to respond to complaint filed by the public prosecutor and Tehran Municipality, IRNA reported from Tehran.

Feizabad told IRNA here on Wednesday that according to the writ of summon, the interrogation will take place in three days.

"Inciting public opinion, taking measures against national security and repeated complaints are mentioned as the reasons for the summon," he added.

He said that one of the complaints against the daily was lodged by Tehran Municipality while the rest were brought up by the public prosecutor.

Nasim-e Saba Managing Editor Majid Feizabadi recently stood trial at bench 1083 of Tehran General Court to respond to complaint filed by the public prosecutor and was ordered to pay cash fine.
