Mashhad, Khorassan Prov, May 10, IRNA -- An earthquake measuring four
degrees on the open-ended Richter scale jolted the city of Ashkhaneh,
in the northeastern province of Khorassan, on Sunday.
According to the seismological base in Mashhad monitored by the
Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at
19:26 hours local time (14:56 hours GMT).
There were no reports of any loss of life or damage to property
caused by the mild tremor.
