An earthquake measuring
3.1 degrees on the Richter scale jolted the city of Qoochan
in the northeastern province of Khorassan on Tuesday morning, IRNA reported
from Mashhad.
The provincial seismological base affiliated to the Geophysics
Institute of Tehran University registered the epicenter of the
tremor 130 km north of the provincial capital city of Mashhad.
The tremor occurred at 07:07 hours local time (02:37 GMT).
There were no reports of any damage to property.
Quake jolts Kouhbonan in Kerman province
Another earthquake measuring 3.4 degrees on the
Richter scale jolted the city of Kouhbonan in southeastern
province of Kerman Monday evening.
According to the Seismological base of the Geophysics
Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 20:03 hours
local time (15:33 GMT).
There was no report of any damage to the property.
