Tehran, May 25, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution
Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, in a decree issued here Tuesday,
appointed Ali Larijani as his representative to the Supreme National
Security Council (SNSC) for a three year term.
Larijani was former managing director of the Islamic Republic of
Iran's Broadcasting (IRIB).
In his decree, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed the hope that
Larijani will help strengthen independence and national security of
the country through his active participation in decision making in
that council.
The Supreme leader wished success for Larijani in his new post.
Ayatollah Khamenei also appointed Larijani as a member of
High Council of Cultural Revolution.
In another decree, the Supreme Leader reinstated Hassan Rowhani
in his post as his representative to SNSC for another three-year term.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Leader Sunday appointed Ezzatollah
Zarghami as new IRIB chief for a five-year term.
Prior to his new appointment, Zarghami was serving as the IRIB
deputy chief in charge of legal, parliamentary and provincial
affairs.
