Tehran, May 26, IRNA -- The first phase of Horse Museum is
scheduled to open here Friday jointly by Iran's Equestrian
Federation and Iran's Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization
(ICHTO).
A report released by ICHTO media department here Wednesday said
that the museum aims to protect Iran's equestrian culture and
background.
Various equestrian devices such as ancient chariots of Qajar
era, saddles, stirrups, toxidermized horse heads and objects
decorated with images of horses such as the tin artifacts from
Lorestan will be showcased at the museum.
According to the report, the monument housing the museum has been
inspired by the architecture of Achaemenid era. It is a one-storey
building with a vaulted ceiling and is located at Tehran Martyrs
Equestrian Complex.
