Iranian war disabled sets off on world tour with message of peace

Maku, West Azarbaijan prov, Nov 11, IRNA -- An Iranian war disabled kicked off his round-the-world tour from Iran's northwestern city of Maku on Thursday saying he aims to spread the culture of peace throughout the world.

The 65 percent disabled of the Iraqi-imposed war (1980-1988), Massoud Tabatabaei told IRNA before setting off on his trip that he planned to walk carrying a message of peace, justice, life and human rights to the people of the world.

A Tehrani resident, Tabatabaei said that he would begin his 1,000-day journey by crossing the border of Bazargan, at Iran's northwestern end, and then go to Turkey and return home via Afghanistan after he crosses the countries along the route in Europe, America, the Far East, and Asia.
