Talking to IRNA here, he said that he planned to visit Tehran after his tour to India with Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz within weeks.
"During my visit, I will hold talks with Iranian Oil Ministry officials about the proposed gas pipeline project," the minister added.
He also said that during his upcoming India visit, Pakistan would take up the proposed pipeline from Iran to India and the Turkmen gasline project.
Jadoon made it clear that Islamabad had not decided yet, which option is to be opted for Iran gas pipeline project, Turkmenistan or Qatar project.
Following a thaw in Pak-India relations, New Delhi has shown willingness to discuss the multi-billion Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project.
The project was envisioned in the 1990s; however, due to tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi, no progress could be made to translate it into reality.
Opting for Iran's gasline, many experts describe the project as vital to meeting the increasing energy requirements of India as well as Pakistan.
