A report released by the Public Relations Department of the Oil Ministry on Thursday referred to this phase of the project including major off-shore and on-shore installations, which has been materialized by domestic experts, engineers and contractors, as an honor and a turning point.
According to the relevant contract inked in 1997 based on buy back scheme, Petro Pars Co. was charged with producing 25 million cubic meters of natural gas, 40,000 barrels of gas condensates and 200 tons of sulfur per day.
The off-shore installations of the gas field include two drilling platforms, production platforms, torch, a 32-inch underwater pipe 105 kms long and a loading terminal.
Meanwhile, its on-shore installations comprise a gas refinery and its secondary equipment.
The total cost of the project is 1.18 billion dollars and it was implemented in four years. One hundred Iranian and foreign contractors have been working on the project, which is a great achievement in its own type for the national contractors.
"Given that the Iranian contractors account for 69.12 percent of the entire work, a new record has been set in implementation of oil and gas upstream projects at the national level," concluded the report.
