In memory of Azar Abooameri (Zahir), Bonyad Azar was
found soon after the Bam earthquake to support the
surviving children and widows.
Eight children, the number is counting, live in a
house in the city of Kerman. These children go to
school and make an effort to live a normal life under
the circumstances. The plan is to build a house in
Bam as soon as possible so that these kids and those
who may be a member of the family in the future have
the opportunity to grow up in their hometown and among
their relatives. After all, Bam belongs to them.
Mrs. Maryam Zahir, the founder, and 9 dedicated
volunteers in the board of directors envision the
activities of the Bonyad. In addition to the
volunteers, there are 8 people on its payroll: a
manager, 3 social workers, a tutor, a cook, a
housekeeper, and a driver. It is a great collective
effort for a greater cause.
Here is an opportunity for all of us to contribute to
the welfare of these children. Please complete the
attached membership form and submit with your
contribution should the cause be a matter of interest
to you. Your contribution goes a long way and it does
make a difference. Thank you for your generosity and
God bless.
