The First Annual Kaveh Golestan Photojournalism Award was held last Saturday 2nd October at the at Iranian Artists' Forum (see full report).

The following photographers received the main awards:

A. Mr. Madjid Saeedi won the prize in the Picture Story Category for his reportage on War in Iraq

B. Mr. Hassan Sarbakhshian won the prize in the Single News Photograph category for his picture 'Akhoundak'

C. Mr. Omid Salehi won the Best Young Talent award.

Also, the following photographers received the special awards:

2. Newsha Tavakoulian
3. Abbass Kousari
4. Mehdi Ghassemi
5. Mr. Javid Tafazoulli
6. Javad Montazeri
