Quake hits southwest of Tehran
Tehran, Oct 26, IRNA -- An earthquake measuring 3.8 degrees on the open-ended Richter scale shook the city of Saveh in Central province, south of Tehran, on Tuesday.

According to the seismological base of Tehran University's Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 01:50 a.m. local time (22:20 GMT).

There were no reports of any casualty or damage to property caused by the quake.

Iran is situated on some of the world's most active seismic faultlines and quakes of varying magnitudes are usual occurrences.
