Qodratollah Imani, member of the committee in charge of following up the impeachment of Interior Minister Abdolvahed Mousavi Lari and Education Minister Morteza Haji told reporters that final session to endorse the impeachment motion would be held next Tuesday by the MPs. It would then be brought to Majlis' open session for approval on November 16, he said.
Imani added that Lari was charged with lack of proper interaction and cooperation between his ministry and other governmental bodies. He was also charged with disturbing national unity and social security, interference in affairs of other governmental bodies, providing false reports and invalid figures and appointing disqualified managers and governors based on political and factional tendencies.
Mismanagement and failure to secure national stability and security were also mentioned by Imani as other charges made by the MPs against the Iranian interior minister.
It was previously said that the impeachment process for the education minister could be held in mid October but there has been no further report in this regard since then.
