Iran: Parliament postpones debate on plane import from China and drinking water export to Kuwait
Tehran, Oct 26, IRNA -- Majlis (Parliament) on Tuesday failed to reach consensus on import of 28 MD90 planes from China, postponing the debate to its future session.

Vice-Chairman of the Majlis Development Commission Hassan Zamani said the discussions were postponed due to the lawmakers' failure to be convinced of justifications, provided by the Transportation Ministry and Civil Aviation Organization officials, for the imports.

Zamani said his Commission had also postponed debate on a bill on sale of drinking water to Kuwait.

He said that under a deal, Iran would sell 300 million cubic meters of water from its southwestern Khuzestan Province to Kuwait annually for a period of 30 years.

Kuwait is expected to finance related costs, he added.
