Iran resumes export of goods to Iraq from Arvandkenar
Arvandkenar, Khuzestan prov, Oct 31, IRNA -- Export of goods to Iraq from Arvandkenar port resumed on Sunday following a two-month suspension of the operations.

Arvandkenar Customs Department announced that a consignment of cement weighing 170 tons was dispatched to the Iraqi port of Abu Flus on the western bank of Arvandroud river by the private sector.

Iraqi officials had earlier announced that freight vessels cannot harbor at Faw port city due to lack of port facilities.

Export of various goods including foodstuff, building materials and agricultural products through Faw started in March.

The Iraqi port city of Faw is located at 200 meters from Iran's Arvandkenar port.
