Madrid, April 2, IRNA-Iran and Spain will cooperate in the field of producing, processing and packaging saffron and olive.
Iran's Ambassador to Spain Morteza Alviri in a meeting with officials from autonomous state of Castilla-La Mancha, one of the main centers of cultivation and production of olive and saffron in Spain, reached to the agreement.
The two sides agreed to start joint cooperation with planning and coordination in coming months.
Alviri in different meetings with industry minister of autonomous state of Castilla-La Mancha and also governor general and head of Chamber of Commerce of Ciudad Real State called for joint investments and cooperation with Iran.
He said the high levels of political, economic and cultural relations between Tehran and Madrid is a firm support for cooperation among the two countries private sectors.
Currently the level of economic exchanges between the two countries reaches more than 1.5 billion dollars, annually.
