Tehran, April 14, IRNA-An earthquake measuring 4 on the open-ended Richter scale shook Abhar in the northwestern province of Zanjan on Thursday.
According to the seismological base of Tehran University's Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 13:14 hours local time (O844 GMT).
There is no report of damage to property or life caused by the quake.
Iran is situated on some of the world's most active seismic fault lines and quakes of varying magnitudes are of usual occurrence.
