Tehran, April 21, IRNA-An earthquake measuring 3.2 degrees on the Richter scale jolted outskirts of Zirkouh Qaen region in the northeastern province of South Khorassan on Thursday morning.
Mashhad Seismological Center affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the tremor at 08:18 hours local time (03:48 GMT) Thursday.
No reports on possible damage caused by the tremble have been received.
Iran is situated on some of the world's most active seismic fault lines and quakes of varying magnitudes are of usual occurrence.
