Ahwaz, Khuzestan Prov, April 22, IRNA- Hundred thousands of Ahwazi residents started a solidarity rally in the streets of their cities on Friday to condemn enemies' conspiracies.
Ahwaz interim Friday prayers leader Mohsen Heydari addressed the rally held in Ahwaz, condemning the creators of recent events in some Arab neighborhoods of the city, saying "The Iranian Arabs of Khuzestan have proven their devotion to Islam and are bound to safeguard the Islamic Republic,"
He said the province's people have proved their loyalty to the system by participating in many arenas of the Iran's revolutionary history.
At the end of the rally, a resolution in 7 articles was read, in which the demonstrators have renew their allegiance to the Supreme Leader and declared their readiness to confront the enemies' conspiracies effectively.
It says in a part, "National unity, Islamic solidarity and allegiance with the leadership that once led to our Islamic Revolution's victory are still pursued by the Iranian Arabs in Khuzestan."
Publication and distribution of a forged letter, attributed to the previous head of presidential office, allegedly called for changing the ethnic combination of the province intrigued the people's feelings and led to the recent chaotic events in Khuzestan.
