Tehran, Aug 1, IRNA-An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale hit western outskirts of Raz area between northern province of Golestan and northeastern province of North Khorasan early Monday morning.
The seismological base of Qoochan, affiliated to Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, said in a statement that the quake occurred at 03:22 hours local time (22:52 GMT Sunday).
The quake was registered in an area located in 56.43 latitude and 37.93 longitude, the base added.
There were no reports of damage to property caused by the tremble, the report said.
Quakes of varying magnitudes are of usual occurrence in Iran which lies on one of the world's most active seismic fault lines.
