A number of agitators caused unrest in the city of Sanandaj, provincial capital of the western province of Kurdestan on Monday night, IRNA reported.
The rioters took part in an unlawful demonstration, set four cars on fire and broke the windowpane of a bank.
Police managed to tackle the unrest by 2200 hours.
Earlier, deputy provincial governor general for political and security affairs and Sanandaj governor had banned any demonstration and gathering.
