Tehran, Aug 2, IRNA-British Ambassador to Tehran Richard Dalton visited office of British Airways in northern Tehran where an explosive device blasted Tuesday. Talking to domestic and foreign reporters, the British ambassador termed the incident as 'not serious'.
Dalton added that the percussion bomb only smashed some windows panes.
He expressed gratitude to Iranian police officials for their timely presence at the site of explosion.
"Now, there is no problem and the British Airways Office will resume its activities soon," he said.
Mitra Behnam-Mojtahedi, an employee of the British Embassy's Public Relations Department also said that "Fortunately, the explosion caused no casualties." She said the blast was caused by a percussion bomb hidden in a rubbish bin in the hallway of Sayeh tower on the 10th floor at 9:20 hours local time (04:50 GMT).
The 10th floor houses the offices of British Airways, British Petroleum and Daimler Chrysler.
