Tokyo, Aug 4, IRNA-A group of victims of Iraqi chemical attack against Iran arrived in Tokyo on Thursday to take part in sixtieth anniversary of US nuclear attacks against Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.
Tehran-based Association Advocating Victims of Chemical Weapons sponsored the visit after a Japanese humanitarian organization invited a group from Iran to take part in the ceremony.
The Iranian group representing 100,000 victims of Iraqi chemical warfare will offer sympathy to victims of US nuclear bombardment of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
They will convey message of peace and friendship to all nations including to Japanese.
It is expected that some 40,000 people from Japan and other countries would take part in the ceremony on August 6.
Since August 6, 1945 when US air force threw nuclear bombs over Hiroshima, 237,062 Japanese succumbed to their injuries.
On August 9, three days after bombardment of Hiroshima, the US bombers struck Nagasaki with second nuclear bomb which killed 39,000 Japanese and injured 25,000.
Thousands of those injured in US nuclear air raids in Japan died for the incurable injuries they had received from nuclear bombs.
The same ceremony will be held in Nagasaki on August 9.
