Semnan, Aug 6, IRNA-A mild earthquake measuring 3.9 degrees on the Richter scale shook Dasht-e Kavir in northeastern province of Semnan on Saturday noon.
Semnan seismological base, affiliated to Tehran University, registered the tremor at 12:08 hours local time (07.38 GMT).
The tremor was registered in an area 34.56 degrees in northern latitude and 53.30 degrees in eastern longitude, the base added.
There were no reports of any damage to property caused by the quake.
Quakes of varying magnitudes are of usual occurrence in Iran, which lies on one of the world's most active seismic fault lines.
