Tehran, Aug 15, IRNA-Iran came from behind to beat South Korea 3-1 in the fifth-place clash of 2005 Junior Men's U-21 World Volleyball Championship in Visakhapatnam, a seaport in Andhra Pradesh in eastern India, Sunday.
Korea, which had won the first set 25-21, was given a surprising defeat by the resurgent Iran.
The budding Iran won the next three sets 25-22 25-18 25-19.
Iran moved up one place from the previous edition, 2002, held in Tehran.
RUSSIA ROUTS BRAZIL
Russia tamed Brazil at the final showdown, lifting the trophy with a straight-set victory.
The Russian side crushed Brazilians 30-28 25-18 25-23.
Cuba also thrashed the Netherlands 3-0, standing third with a 25-23 25-18 30-28 victory.
Serbia-Montenegro and the United States ranked seventh and eighth respectively.
