Kuala Lumpur, Aug 26, IRNA-Iran celebrated the Asian youth water polo title in Bangkok, capital of Thailand, Thursday. The determined Iranian team, which defeated China for the first time in Wednesday's semifinal, thrashed Uzbekistan 8-4 in the final showdown.

Talking to reporters, Iran's swimming chief Vahid Moradi said the Thai fans, who had been thrilled by the country's performance in the tournament, cheered for Iran loudly.

The supremo added, "This is the first time Iran wins the Asian youth water polo title and this victory is presented to our people."
