Tehran, Dec 3, IRNA-The caretaker of Oil Ministry, Kazem Vaziri Hamaneh will be the fourth person to be proposed by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Majlis for the post of oil minister, said an informed source at Majlis (Parliament).
The source, who was speaking to IRNA on condition of anonymity, said majority of Majlis hold positive view on Hamaneh as consultations between presidential advisors and parliamentarians indicate.
Hamaneh, who is now the caretaker of oil ministry, used to be former deputy oil minister for coordination affairs during the tenure of former oil minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh.
Formerly, President Ahmadinejad had named Ali Saeedlou, Sadeq Mahsouli and Mohsen Tasalloti but the first and third nominees failed to receive necessary vote of confidence to become oil minister while the second one withdrew on the expectation that he would not garner necessary votes from the parliament to take the post.
Meanwhile, member of the presiding body of Majlis minority fraction Mohammad-Reza Tabesh told IRNA that good knowledge of oil related issues and long years of experience at Oil Ministry are Hamaneh's strong points as the choice for the post.
Tabesh, MP from Ardakan in Yazd province, said that of course, the parliamentary fraction has not been polled on the choice
