In recent weeks, the remarks of Ahmadinejad, the new Iranian President, about Israel and the Holocaust have played strongly into the hands of the Israel and US governments which have fully exploited these remarks to prepare the world public opinion for imposition of UN sanctions against Iran. Such sanctions will be the prelude for a military attack which can lead to a fully fledged new war in the Middle East, even more horrifying than the present situation in Iraq and threatening peace and stability all around the Middle East and beyond. It has even been reported by the American Conservative that the Pentagon, acting under instructions from Vice President Dick Cheney.s office, has tasked the United States Strategic Command to use tactical nuclear strikes against Iran.
