Fundraising by Azerbaijan Cultural Society in Northern California for 11-year-old Yashar Jabbari

Eleven-year-old Yashar Jabbari, a sixth grade student, is braving a battle with Sever Aplastic Anemia, a rare and serious blood disorder in which the bone marrow fails to produce sufficient blood cells. He was diagnosed with this disease on June 26, 2004, and had a blood drive on August 31, 2004 which produced no match.

Prior to his diagnosis, Yashar was an active young boy who had attended Carlton Elementary School in San Jose and who had played little league baseball for Union Little League. He was supposed to begin middle school at Union Middle School, and after five years of Karate was working towards receiving his Black Belt in October 2004. Unfortunately, which his diagnosis everything came to a grinding halt. Currently, the young Yashar is undergoing treatment under Dr. F. Alan Wong of Kaiser (Santa Clara) with the collaboration of Dr. Glader of Stanford Hospital, while being home schooled. Yashar's family has been overwhelmed with the expenses associated with his treatment and urgently need your help.
