Tehran, Jan 13, IRNA -- An earthquake measuring 3.8 on the open-ended
Richter scale shook the city of Behbahan in the southwestern province
of Khuzestan Thursday morning.
According to the seismological base of Tehran University's
Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 06:29 hours local time
(02:59 GMT).
There were no reports of any damage to property caused by the
quake.
Iran is situated on some of the world's most active seismic
faultlines and quakes of varying magnitudes are usual occurrences.
