Two quakes shake Khorramabad in western Iran
Tehran, Jan 13, IRNA -- An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale for the second time shook Khorramabad, the capital of the western province of Lorestan on Thursday.

According to the seismological base of Tehran University's Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 14:30 p.m local time. There were no reports of any damage to property caused by the quake.

Earlier, an earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale hit the city of Khorramabad at 11:44 local time.

Iran is situated on some of the world's most active seismic faultlines and quakes of varying magnitudes are usual occurrences.
