Out of 23 listed for the camp, Hossein Rezazadeh, Mehdi Panzovan, Mohammad-Ali Falahati-Nejad, Shahin Nassirinia, Mohsen Biranvand, Asghar Ebrahimi, and Hossein Tavakkoli refused to head for Sofia.
National lifters last Tuesday decided to put the national camp on hold as a gesture of protest at sidelining Iranian trainer Bahman Zare'.
Talking to IRNA, Falahati-Nejad, the 77 kg lifter, said Iranian weightlifters owe domestic coaches a lot but the federation officials have ignored their priceless services.
Falahati-Nejad said since the federation had dropped Zare', the lifters decided to boycott Sofia tour and come to his defense.
Although Iran's Weightlifting Federation (IWF) later included Abdolreza Assadi, a domestic trainer, in the roster, it failed to convince the lifters to attend the camp.
