Referring to the recent remarks of George Bush and Condoleezza Rice, he said that the US in the past years has kept falling into numerous troubles due to the policies and approaches adopted by the extremist neo-conservatives.
He believed the US had no way out of these troubles unless it reviewed its past wrong policies and compensated for them.
Asefi expressed his opinion that making such remarks by the US officials and extremist wings in the present juncture when America is facing a harsh situation in Iraq and also with world's public opinion, pursues a particular objective.
He said Iran believed such remarks aimed to suggest that the constructive procedure of nuclear talks between Iran and Europe has failed rather helping Europe to solve part of the problems in peaceful diplomatic ways and dialogues.
The spokesman further recommended the new US secretary of state to review the past wrong approaches in carrying out hegemonic and monopolistic policies to avoid repetition of the past mistakes.
Asefi stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on people's power and its diplomatic potential and supreme military capabilities, would respond strongly to any kind of unwise acts.
