Beirut, July 2, IRNA-Iran narrowly defeated Lebanon in the West Asian basketball match here Friday, booking a berth in the Asian Nations Cup.
The Iranian side extended its winning streak with a 67-66 win over the home team.
Iran had already edged past Jordan and Iraq.
In its Wednesday's opening match, the budding Iranian team overcame Jordan 87-76 while it fought back Thursday to hand Iraq a humiliating 96-63 defeat.
Iran came from first quarter 17-15 down to take the lead in the second and third quarters with 33-25 and 66-52 victories, winning the clash 96-63.
In its last game, Iran takes on Yemen Saturday.
Qatar is to hold Asian Nations Cup in September.
