Tehran, July 3, IRNA-A four-member disabled track-and-field team from Iran left Tehran on Saturday for the United States to compete in the world cerebral palsy (CP) athletics.
Of the four experienced athletes, three won colorful medals at 2004 Athens Paralympic Games and one finished fourth.
Mohsen Amou-Aqaei and Abbas Mohsenizadeh will represent Iran in the US-based competitions in the shot put while Siamak Saleh-Farajzadeh in the discus and Javad Hardani in the shot put, javelin, and discus.
The Iranian team held a five-stage training camp to get ready for the prestigious contests.
Thirty-six teams have participated in the four-day US event, which starts on July 5.
