Tehran, July 20, IRNA-A mild earthquake measuring 3.5 on the open-ended Richter scale hit the city of Bouin Zahra in the southwestern province of Qazvin in the wee hours of Wednesday.
The seismological base of the Geophysics Institute, affiliated to Tehran University, recorded the quake at 01:20 hours local time (2050 GMT on Tuesday).
The tremor was felt in the city's outskirts, located in 35.57 latitude and 49.97 longitude, the base said.
There were no reports of damage to properties caused by the tremble, added the base.
Quakes of varying magnitudes are of usual occurrence in Iran which lies on one of the world's most active seismic fault lines.
