Tehran, July 24, IRNA-Three earthquakes measuring 4.1, 3.7 and 3.9 on the Richter scale, respectively, hit the cities of Qidar, Genaveh and Kerman Sunday.
The seismological base of the Geophysics Institute, affiliated to Tehran University, said in a statement that the 4.1 magnitude quake hit the city of Qidar in the northwestern province of Zanjan at 08:20 hours local time (0350 GMT).
The quake was felt in an area locate in 35.78 latitude and 48.67 longitude, the base added.
The report also said the 3.7 earthquake jolted the port of Genaveh in the southern province of Bushehr at 08:05 hours local time (0335 GMT).
The tremor was recorded at Genaveh's outskirts, located in 29.76 latitude and 50.70 longitude, the base said.
The southeastern provincial capital city of Kerman was also hit by the 3.9 quake at 06:43 hours local time (0213 GMT).
The tremor was registered in an area located in 30.30 latitude and 57.71 longitude.
There were no reports of damage to properties caused by the three earthquakes, added the base.
Quakes of varying magnitudes are of usual occurrence in Iran which lies on one of the world's most active seismic fault lines.
