Tehran, July 27, IRNA-Iran's National Youth Parliament will open officially in Tehran on Thursday in the presence of Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and several other ranking officials.
The parliament comprises 193 exemplary representatives elected by national federations, provincial assemblies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for youth affairs, Public Relations Department of the parliament announced Wednesday.
Some 19 deputies are from Tehran and the rest from other cities of the country. Of the deputies 49 are female and 144 male.
The Youth Parliament seeks to establish interactions among the countries' active NGOs and prepare the ground for exchange of views and addressing the youth's demands.
Providing the possible avenues for settlement of the youth's problems and mutual dialogue are among other goals of the parliament.
The parliament is also to pave the way for making known the Iranian youth's first resolve in national and international arena.
