Branch of Iran-Europe Bank in Kish attracts deposits of Iranians in Dubai

Kish Island, July 27, IRNA-Director of the branch office of Iran-Europe Trade Bank in Kish, Sadeq Pour Asghari, here Wednesday announced that the Iranian businessmen residing in Dubai can now deposit their capital in this branch.

He told IRNA that the branch office of Iran-Europe Trade Bank opened in Kish seven months ago.

Pour Asghari said that the bank has managed to attract clients over the past seven months and that they will attempt to present the same services presented in Dubai in this branch.

"The bank's Kish branch office will be administered according to the regulations of the Central Bank of Iran and the German banking rules," he added.

Some 50 percent of the shares of Iran-Europe Bank has been provided by the Industry and Mine Bank, while Bank Mellat and Bank Tejarat account for 27 and 18 percent respectively and the remaining shares belong to other banks including Bank Refah (Welfare Bank).

He said that the working policy of the bank is based on attracting clients with proper and acceptable capital.

Pour Asghari referred to good reputation, financial capability and potential to handle transactions as the qualifications making the clients eligible for opening a deposit account in the bank.

Putting the primary capital of Iran-Europe Trade Bank at 160 million euros, he declared that it is expected to increase in future.

Expressing satisfaction with the performance of the bank in attracting clients, he said, "Branches of foreign banks in Kish Free Trade Zone along with exchange facilities could be quite effective in transfer of the required expertise into the country.

Meanwhile, the relevant banking interest will be returned." He noted that 2,000 square meters has been allocated to the branch office of Iran-Europe Trade Bank in Kish and that the construction of the relevant multi-storey building will soon get underway.

Kish Island is situated 300 kms from Bandar Abbas in southern Iran and is one of the most beautiful islands in the Persian Gulf. Hundreds of domestic and foreign tourists annually visit the attractions of the island.
