Ankara, July 30, IRNA-The value of trade exchange between Iran and Turkey exceeded 1.735 billion dollars during the first half of 2005, showing a 41.16 percent boost compared to similar period the previous year.
The value of the two countries' trade exchange stood at 1.229 billion dollars during the same period in 2004.
Iran exported 186.623 million dollars worth of commodities to Turkey only in June while it imported 62.820 million dollars from the neighboring state.
The figure on Turkey's exports to and imports from Iran in last June reached 70.135 million and 206.133 million dollars respectively.
Turkey exported 444.450 million dollars worth of goods to Iran in the first six months of the year, which showed a 29.8 percent increase while it imported 1.290 billion dollars from the country, indicating a 45.52 percent growth.
The value of Turkey's exports to Iran stood at 342.320 million dollars during similar period in 2004. The country imported 886.953 million dollars worth of goods from Iran.
The total volume of trade exchange between the two countries soared to 2.76 billion dollars in 2004, showing a 15.3 percent increase in comparison with the its preceding year, 2003.
The value of Turkey's exports to Iran reached 803.187 million dollars in 2004, indicating a 50.46 percent boost while the country imported over 1.957 billion dollars worth of commodities from Iran.
