Tehran, June 2, IRNA-An earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale shook the suburbs of Jajarm in the northeastern province of North Khorasan on Thursday morning.
The local seismological center of Quchan affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, recorded the tremor at 07:44 hours local time (0314 GMT).
The tremor was registered in an area located in 37.18 degree latitude and 56.82 degree longitude on the outskirts of Jajarm.
There are no reports of damage to properties caused by the quake, the report added.
Iran is situated in one of the world's most active seismic fault lines and quakes of varying magnitudes are of usual occurrence.
