seeks settlement of problems through legal channels and within the
frameworks of international regulations and the International Atomic
Energy Agency (IAEA).
"The United States intends to turn Iran's nuclear case into a
crisis and then lead it to an international security issue by
increasing tension while several countries have expressed concern over
the US behavior and hegemony," Secretary of the Supreme National
Security Council (SNSC) Hassan Rowhani said as he was addressing the
International Conference on Nuclear Technology and Sustainable

cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency resulted in
public confidence," he added.

appropriate stance that Iran has adopted, the SNSC secretary said,
adding the world has gained confidence that Iran's nuclear program
is totally peaceful.
"It has been proved for states that international regulations
including (the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) NPT and the
international organizations such as the International Atomic Energy
Agency are capable of removing current probable concerns through
implementation of legal regulations," Rowhani continued.
The IAEA showed it enjoys capabilities to play its main role to
remove concerns over proliferation of weapons of mass destruction,
he stressed.
He cited Iran's talks with Europe on nuclear issues and prevention
of tension as among factors behind establishment of peace and
stability in the region and said, "Today, we are facing peace and
stability in our sensitive and strategic region thanks to the correct
path Iran has taken which is acceptable to most states."
"Iran's signing of the NPT Additional Protocol and its voluntary
implementation as well as full cooperation with the IAEA mean Iran's
peaceful nuclear activities are guaranteed in the future.
"Undoubtedly, complete implementation of the Additional Protocol
will be the best guarantee for Iran's nuclear activities to remain
peacefully," Rowhani further stressed.
