The managerial experiences gained by women indicate that their performance and competence have been effective in fulfilling their duties, said a member of 'Iran's Female Journalists Association' Jamileh Kadivar.
She criticized some biased attitudes towards women in the society, saying that there is no logical relationship between such attitudes and reactions and the problems facing the women now.
The former MP in the 6th Majlis (Parliament) also challenged certain views prevailing in the Iranian society against women's presidency.
The journalist referred to some verses of the Holy Quran on the famous Princess Belqeiss who had the power to administrate her lands, reasoning, "If women had been banned from becoming president, the Almighty God would not have cited the example of a woman ruler (in the Holy Quran).
Shiva Dowlatabadi, another journalist, underlined importance to job and social security for women, saying that the ground should be prepared to provide mothers with security.
She underlined the need for reviewing the laws enacted to support the family and financial assistance.
