Tehran, March 26, IRNA-An earthquake measuring 3.8 on the open-ended Richter scale shook the city of Khorramabad in the southwestern province of Lorestan on Friday.
According to the seismological base of Tehran University's Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 20:36 hours local time (1606 GMT).
There is no report of damage to property caused by the quake.
Iran is situated on some of the world's most active seismic fault lines and quakes of varying magnitudes are of usual occurrence.
