Tehran Art Scene: Ali Nedaie
By Syma Sayyah, Tehran

Last week in Tehran was steaming hot and the temperature got as high as thirty degrees. Despite the heat, I managed to go to several galleries, and overall I must admit I was not disappointed. I will be reporting about the artists whose works I saw in several short reports.

Ali Nedaie was the most interesting artist last week whose large works were on display at the Aria gallery. I found his works most striking. He has been a member of artistic Group 30+ since its formation five years ago.

I became familiar with their interesting works last year at a Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art's exhibition titled Persian Gardens.

When I asked him the name of one his works, he said "The Model," and added that this is the title of the exhibition and all the works are named the same with different numbers.

Many of these were quite large without being overpowering, and as before I found that I enjoy his work very much. I am sure that his work is developing, and I look forward to his future shows. I have a few photos that I would like to share with you.
