Tehran, May 26, IRNA-President Mohammad Khatami here Thursday underlined the need to form an organization to support Iranian inventors.
Khatami made the remarks in a meeting with the country's young inventors who recently took part in the 33th International Exhibition of Inventions held in Geneva, Switzerland.
The proposed organization can supervise and organize Iranian inventors through a plan to meet their needs in the society, the president said.
He expressed the hope that the organization would be formed before the end of his second term in office and would turn into a national move to identify and employ young inventors nationwide.
"We should identify our talented individuals across the country to prepare the grounds for their scientific progress in the society," he said.
"I am proud that there are such young innovators in the country," he said adding that the success of the Iranian youth at the international event proves the country's high potentials in scientific fields.
The average intelligence quotient of Iranian youth is above than that in other countries and the government should help in prepare the grounds for development of such talents, he concluded.
